VTCC AFTERMATH

So! The con is over and I have to say I had a pretty amazing time! I made a lot more sales than I expected and I met a lot of really cool people. There's a lot of nice and really interesting people to talk to at the con. This was a fantastic first experience. I'm definitely looking forward to hitting up the cons next year, with new artwork and a little more experience under my belt. Can't wait to see what the next conventions bring.

Some highlights: I got to meet Brian O'halloran from the Clerks movies! I love the Clerks movies. If you haven't seen them, and you've worked in retail, fast food, or any other crummy minimum wage job, you should definitely check these movies out. It's very easy to empathize with the characters, and there's also lots of absurd wonderful moments in both the movies.

Second highlight: I got to meet the director of Jurassic World!!!!! Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a die hard Jurassic Park fan. I watch Jurassic park about twice a week at least, my apartment is covered in Jurassic Park and Jurassic World toys, and my very first tattoo is of a JP Velociraptor. I was so happy when Jurassic World came out. I had been waiting over twenty years for a worthy sequel and Jurassic World exceeded my expectations. So much so that I saw it in theaters eleven times. So as you can imagine, being able to meet the man responsible for putting it together was a dream come true for me! I'm not usually a crazed fan girl, but I turned into a puddle upon meeting him, lol. He was so nice though, and I got to meet his family. They were so wonderful! He even came back to my table the next day and gave me a rare Jurassic World poster signed by him and said "Anyone who's seen the movie eleven times deserves at least a poster". It was so awesome of him. I couldn't even wait until we got back to New Hampshire to buy a frame! Thank you so much Colin! It was an honor to meet you!

So all in all pretty fantastic weekend!!! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who stopped by my table and chatted with me! It was so nice to meet so many great people! I'm looking forward to next year!
