ABOUT ME

I found my true love at the age of one when I picked up my first crayon. I've been drawing ever since then. Through the years I've tried many different extracurricular activities, such as cheerleading, piano, alto saxophone, softball,

basketball, soccer, girlscouts, archery, and Tae Kwon Do. I was terrible at all of them and in the end I always returned to art, specifically comic art.

At the age of eleven I started my very first graphic novel. It was terrible, artistically and conceptually, but it didn't matter. I was in love with it and I knew the moment I started that I wanted to draw comics for the rest of my life. I had always enjoyed creating characters and coming up with worlds and stories for these characters I created. Graphic Novels gave my characters purpose and allowed me to visually tell a story. I was and am still in love with visual storytelling.

Currently, I am living the dream and trekking about the beautiful country of Japan with my husband and my mini me. Along with working on graphic novels and other art projects, I've taken up the art of bonsai pruning, another activity I'm very bad at, but I enjoy very much. I'll be in Japan for the next three years and I plan to soak up as much of the culture as I can! If life has taught me anything, it's to always learn and grow no matter how old you get and that's what I plan to do! Keep growing, little trees!
